Aditi Rao Hydari is an Indian actress, singer, and dancer born on October 28, 1978, who is known for her works in Bollywood, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam movies. Hydari began her career as a Bharatanatyam dancer before entering the world of cinema. Her first film to have a theatrical release was the 2006 Malayalam film 'Prajapathi', and she later appeared in the 2007 Tamil film 'Sringaram'. Her role in the 2011 romantic thriller movie 'Yeh Saali Zindagi' received media attention and earned her the Screen Award for the Best Supporting Actress. By portraying the lead role of Dr. Leela Abraham in Mani Ratnam's 2017 film 'Kaatru Veliyidai', she was able to expand her career into more south Indian film industries. Her role as Queen Mehrunisa in the 2018 epic drama film 'Padmaavat' was well received. Some of the successful Bollywood movies she has starred in include 'Rockstar', 'Murder 3', 'Boss', and 'Wazir', among others.
